hash-mark1. Steven Tyler

Steven Tyler is one of the most famous celebrities that lives in Boston. The Aerosmith star with the massive mouth is famous for having multiple houses where he chooses to reside, often based on his mood or what he’s doing at the moment.

According to fans, he has a massive mansion out in the Mansfield part of Boston. Considering his reputation for partying, it’d have to be a big house. We wouldn’t want the neighbors to complain about it.

hash-mark2. Steve Carell

You might recognize this name from such movies as The 40-Year-Old Virgin and The Legend of Ron Burgundy. Or, you might recognize him from The Tonight Show. Regardless of where you know him from, it’s clear this comedian loves to show off his bold wit everywhere he goes.

Much like Steven Tyler, Steve Carell chose to settle down in a beautiful home with a pool and a sprawling layout. Oh, and he also chose to get his mansion in Mansfield. Carell currently only lives here part-time but still made an effort to own a general store in his neighborhood. He occasionally pops by there from time to time.

hash-mark3. Dan Aykroyd

Everyone knows who Dan Aykroyd is, right? The legendary movie actor and Saturday Night Live staple may have started his life in Canada, but Boston won him over. He’s been a local to the area for decades and shows no sign of stopping any time soon.

He really loves living in Massachusetts and the Northeast in general. Along with having a home in Chilmark, his very first House of Blues venue was started in Cambridge. Needless to say, he’s a Beantown favorite.

hash-mark4. Noam Chomsky

One of the greatest minds of the modern age, Noam Chomsky, is a proud Bostonite. According to the current records we were able to dig up, he is currently a resident of the city’s illustrious Beacon Hill.

To a point, it makes sense. He’s a noted great mind who regularly lectures at colleges. Considering that Boston has a lot of Ivy connections, it would be a quick and easy commute for him to do.

hash-mark5. John Kerry

John Kerry is another famous person that lives in Boston. Former presidential candidate Kerry has been a major staple in the political world all the way back since the early 2000s. Senator Kerry has been a fan (and resident) of the Boston area since he attended law school here in 1976.

Considering that he is a near-lifelong fan of Boston, it comes as no surprise that he would continue to stay in the area. Right now, he and his wife live in the illustrious area known as Beacon Hill.

hash-mark6. Ted Danson

Cheers star Ted Danson is an old-school name who has a very old-school taste in homes. He and his wife, Mary Steenburgen, have multiple homes, including a handful of retreats on the West Coast.

Though Danson spends most of his time in California, he does own a home in Chilmark near the heart of Martha’s Vineyard. His $1 million home featured guests throughout the ages. It’s a star-studded home, and what a home it is!

hash-mark7. Harry Connick Jr.

If you are a fan of good music, then you might recognize this celebrity name. He’s one of many celebrities who have a part-time residence in Massachusetts. More specifically, he spends a fair amount of time in Chatham. His summer home of 15 years is there.

hash-mark8. James Taylor

If you were alive in the 80s and 70s, chances are you may have wanted to date (or be) James Taylor. He was a rock and roll legend who made it to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame multiple times over. You would think he would live in Los Angeles, but no. He’s a Bostonite at heart.

Currently, Taylor has a home in The Berkshires, where he lives with his family. As it turns out, James Taylor is also a native Bostonian. He was born there, so it could be a matter of him just wanting to return home.

hash-mark9. Joe Perry

Joe Perry is another member of Aerosmith who seems to love the idea of spending his older years in Massachusetts. Like Steve Tyler, Perry loves to tout his multiple estates to anyone who will listen to him.

He chose to have a series of homes, including one in Vermont and one in Duxbury. Each mansion is (presumably) massive and perfect for partying. Because let’s face it, he’s a member of Aerosmith. You don’t become one of the biggest names in rock without having a healthy appetite for nightlife, partying, and just about everything else.

hash-mark10. Jordan Knight

Most people know Jordan Knight as a member of the hit 90s boy band New Kids on the Block. The singer experienced a slew of successes in that era, but make no mistake about it, he’s no Cali boy. He was born in Massachusetts and has since chosen to move back to Milton.

Along with enjoying the profits from being a boy band member, he also subsidizes his living by being an investor in a local restaurant called Novara. Fine dining seems to be this kid on the block’s favorite investment!
