Renting a month in Gloria Estefan's guest house would have cost you about $30,000. This space was recently sold to Sean Combs.
Currently, Gloria Estefan occupies a newer property on Star Island with her husband, Emilio Estefan. The duo is two of the most famous occupants of Star Island and owns several properties in the neighborhood.
Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez is another one of the most famous Star Island residents. She became an occupant of Star Island as recently as 2020 when she and Alex Rodriguez purchased a home with a view of the bay. This classic Florida-style location sold for about $40 million on the market.
With the addition of the singer and actress, Star Island has expanded its celebrity to a new level. She will be in and out of the home with her family, shifting between the many homes she and Alex Rodriguez owned together, though their recent split could lead to a sale.
Lisa Hochstein
Another one of the most famous residents who lives on Star Island is Lisa Hochstein. Her home became famous for its role in The Real Housewives of Miami. Lisa Hochstein lives in the house with her husband, Leonard Hochstein, a plastic surgeon with significant funds. The home used to be a gorgeous classical structure, but the Hochsteins chose to demolish and rebuild it in 2012.

Phillip Frost is a pharmaceutical billionaire with an excellent property on Star Island, Miami. He owns shares in several companies, such as Protalix and MusclePharm, and he’s been on the board of companies like Northrop Grumman.
He lives on 21 Star Island Drive, a six-acre corner of the island with plenty of space for the home, an expansive yard, and plenty of other features to enjoy during the day and night. This place is one of the biggest on the island in terms of area.
Thomas Kramer
Thomas Kramer is a real-estate developer and entrepreneur with several lots on Star Island. The places he owns are known for having a strange style and hosting some of the biggest parties on the island. He’s successfully sold properties in the past to other buyers on this list.
Many of the gatherings Thomas Kramer has had have appeared in shows like The Real Housewives of New York City. His Victorian decorating style is one of the standouts among the other occupants of the private space.
Sean Combs
Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, became one of the more recent occupants of Star Island, Miami. He invested in the old home of Gloria Estefan, a gorgeous waterfront space you can see as soon as you drive onto the island.
Diddy also owns the property directly next to this one. He has a lot of space to work with on the man-made wonder, no matter what he decides to do with his new land.
David and Linda Frankel
This couple is not one of the most famous on Star Island, but the home they live inside is. If you look it up, you’ll notice that 43 Star Island Drive has had its share of activity over the years. From its previous ownership under Rosie O’Donnell to its past as a drug smuggling operation, it’s quite the space.
Everything has calmed down since then. The Frankels peacefully live inside this glorious space with intricate landscaping that sets it apart from many other homes on the island.
Stuart Miller
Stuart Miller is one of the biggest figures on Star Island. He’s the CEO of the Lennar Corporation, one of the biggest home construction companies in the United States and the world. It makes sense that he would live on and have decent control over the spaces available on the island.
It’s presumed that Stuart Miller owns at least five properties on the island, which he and his family both occupy and sell to other potential residents. He is also responsible for the construction and demolishing of several spaces.
Emilio Estefan
Emilio Estefan is the other half of the Estefan duo. He primarily lives at 39 Star Island Drive with his wife, Gloria Estefan. Their property has elaborate landscaping, a gorgeous modern beach flair, and a tennis court to enjoy in the front.
The Estefans sold another home they own on the island, a guest house, to Sean Combs. They have been on the island for almost forty years.
Vladislav Doronin
As the CEO of an international real estate development company that operates heavily in Miami, it makes sense that Vladislav Doronin would be one of the residents of Star Island. He lives on 26 Star Drive, a classically influenced home with a fountain, tennis courts, and a giant pool.
This occupant has made headlines for his relationships with stars like Naomi Campbell and Kristina Romanova. His home is a classic staple on the island.
