Located in the heart of the Financial District, 100 John Street is a luxury apartment building by Moinian Group. While it is probably the nicest and best managed of Moinaian’s properties in the neighborhood, we would advise all potential tenants to do their research as Moinian gets less than stellar reviews from tenants. Common complains at 100 John Street are nearby construction and scaffolding, which obstructs views from the apartments and reduces natural light. The residences at 100 John Street, which is also known as The Renaissance, are very nicely equipped with high-end finishes and appliances. Highlights include wide-plank flooring, marble bathrooms, and contemporary kitchens with custom cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, tile backsplashes, and Austrian crystal chandeliers. Select homes also come with large, private terraces. Many layouts are also easy to flex and add a convertible bedroom, which is a draw for roommates and students. Amenities at 100 John Street include a resident's lounge equipped with billiards table and wet bar and a 34th-floor roof terrace that offers stunning views of the NYC skyline. One major drawback is the lack of a gym. 100 John also provides plenty to do outside of your apartment thanks to its excellent location. The South Street Seaport, Brookfield Place, Oculus Mall, and historic Stone Street with its many bars and taverns are all a short walk away. Tribeca is also within walking distance, and getting around is just as easy thanks to all the public transportation in the area, including the Fulton Center transit hub, which is just a few blocks from your front door.
